ABOUT
I was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary. My parents were both furriers and had a very successful fur studio in Budapest.
Ever since my childhood, I was around my parents and their work as furriers. I helped them, learning a lot from them and their craft and worked in their boutique as a shop assistant.
When my father passed away in 2009, I had no idea what I should do with all of the materials from his studio. The one thing I did know, however, was that it would be very difficult to get rid of the old materials in a respectful manner.
So, I started to remodel old fur coats, originally designed for women, into fur coats for children.
Sanna Kjellen, my neighbor in Djursholm, encouraged me to continue this line of children’s fur coats. She introduced me to Elbio and Gun Figarola, who owned a very well-known fur atelier on Östermalm.
This was just the beginning of a true fairy tale! The Figarolas had been looking for someone to take over their furrier business. Under their guidance, I started by designing my own models, receiving daily assistance from them in the beginning. I used old materials from my father’s collection. My designs gave way to an entire collection with an absolutely new and fresh concept. This was the birth of the Divas and Angel Lines.
